History
In
the early days, we used other hosting companies to look after
our servers. At the time none could provide the performance
needed. In
1998 we decided to get our own facilities. We still use our
own bandwidth and servers to host the websites we design for
our corporate customers.
Many
of these are absolutely mission critical. They
include organisations like East England Development Agency,
The Kent Fire Brigade, Letraset,
United Biscuits, Medway Council, BAE Systems,
Yorkshire Development Agency and RadioScape.
Since
our bandwidth has a lot of capacity unused (about 90%) and
we care about the quality of hosting needed, the idea of creating
Blacklab Hosting for the SME user was born.
We
have the experience that many hosting companies out there
don't have. That's the experience (and problems) of managing
big, resource intensive websites. We know what websites need
and also know what kind of servers a web hosting provider
should have - more...
For
many business people a big 'turn-off' is over complexity and
the use of 'techie' terms which many of them either distrust
or simply do not understand. Most people simply want reliable
and stable webspace for their corporate websites. So we try
to put 'IT' where 'IT' belongs - under the bonnet so to speak
- and to deal with matters in plain English.
Our
two Internet access points provided by BT tightly managed
and under
our control, we can be confident of the quality of service
we'll give you. So confident, in fact, that we can offer
you
a 30-day money back guarantee!
