Reliability

site's reliability is only as good as the host's reliability and
is talked about as 'uptime'. Ideally this would mean 100% uptime

own site) we cannot afford downtime for anything more than a few

Connectivity
The size of connection and the number of users a host has determines
the performance of a website. A host boasting a 55Mb pipe
is fast
if it only has a few thousand users. But should those users be
multiplied 10 or 100 fold then throughput will falter. We
